Paulette Zander provided invaluable assistance to us at Strathcona Mews Limited which is an equity co-op. In 1986 which was a boom year in real estate, the owner needed to get the remaining 12 townhouse units of the 30 unit complex sold so we could take control of the complex from the developer and make essential improvements. I personally spent the entire year talking to hundreds of individuals, but nobody would buy our co-op units even though they were very inexpensive. I contacted a number of real estate agents but could not find one who would assist us. I saw Paulette's ad in the Toronto Star and came to her open house on a Saturday afternoon. I explained our problem to Paulette and she told me not to worry, she would help us. Paulette is very well connected, caring and is a person who gets things done. After seeing the units at Strathcona, Paulette immediatley found qualified purchasers for the 12 units. Paulette has also assisted Strathcona Mews with other matters such as obtaining contractors for work we needed done, plus the research of comparable sales of similar properties that we required to launch two successful tax appeals. Paulette has always been available when we needed her.

Hi Paulette

We received your newsletter yesterday and it was very nice to hear from you again. We found the information on bachelor, one and two bedroom Apts. most useful.

Our son Paul tells us that he's content to remain with his bachelor's Apt for the time being. I expect that he will likely want something bigger in a couple of years. Thank you Paulette for the complimentary movie tickets and letter that arrived by mail yesterday. It is an awfully nice gesture. We will be in touch regarding future sales and purchases, but probably not for another year or two. When I first called Paulette Zander I was desperate to get rid of this rundown rental unit that had been weighing me down like an anchor around my neck with negative cashflow. It was in a nice building but after 7 years of rental the unit was in sad shape. I never thought I'd get rid of it and take out the mortgage, much less sell it for excess of what I paid for it.

Paulette is the greatest "fluffer" in the city as well as the most knowledgeable agent in Toronto for condos, co-ops and co-ownerships. She has expert designer's taste in colour schemes, carpet selection and fixtures and knows how to source same and tradespeople at the best possible prices. She advised and helped me on every aspect of the preparation process, and to tell the truth when all the painting, redecorating and new carpet was done, the place looked so good I was almost sad to sell it. Paulette's positive "get it done" attitude, professionalism, and willingness to give of her own time were invaluable in getting the job done. Three days after the renos were complete she had the place sold with multiple offers.
